Delete Assignment

To delete an assignment within the Job Management System, follow the step-by-step guide below:

  1. Access the Job Tab:

    • Log in to the Job Management System using your credentials.

    • Navigate to the "Jobs" tab from the main menu.

  2. Locate the Job:

    • Search for the specific job for which you want to delete an assignment. You may use filters or search functions to find the job efficiently.

  3. Access Job Details:

    • Once you've located the desired job, click on the job number. The job number is highlighted in blue, indicating it's a clickable link. This action will open the detailed view of the job.

  4. Identify Assignment Section:

    • Within the main job overview, locate the "Assignment" section. This section lists the technicians or individuals assigned to various tasks within the job.

  5. Click on the Technician's Name:

    • Find the technician's name associated with the assignment you wish to delete. The technician's name is presented as a clickable blue link.

  6. Check Assignment Status:

    • Verify that the assignment you want to delete has not been marked as completed. As long as the assignment remains incomplete, the system will display options to modify or delete it.

  7. Cancellation Process:

    • If the assignment has not been completed, there should be a conspicuous option, usually a red-colored "Cancel Assignment" button, associated with the technician's name or assignment details.

  8. Delete the Assignment:

    • Click on the "Cancel Assignment" button. Upon selection, the system will prompt a confirmation dialogue to ensure you want to remove the assignment.

  9. Confirmation and Removal:

    • Confirm the cancellation by selecting "Confirm". This action will delete the assignment from the job.

  10. Confirmation of Deletion:

  • Once confirmed, the system should display a notification or confirmation message confirming the successful removal of the assignment.

Please Note:

  • Deleted assignments will not be recoverable. Ensure the action is necessary before confirming the deletion.

  • Completed assignments may not have the option to cancel or delete, as they are considered finalized in the system.

Always exercise caution when deleting assignments, and make sure it aligns with the intended action to avoid accidental data loss or system inconsistencies. If unsure, consult with the system administrator or relevant support for guidance on handling assignments within the Job Management System.
