Adding and Managing Customer Addresses

In this guide, we will walk you through the process of adding and managing customer addresses

Managing customer information is essential for businesses, and keeping track of customer addresses is no exception. In this guide, we will walk you through the process of adding and managing customer addresses within CertainPath Software. Whether you need to input a new address or use an existing one for multiple customers, we've got you covered.

Step 1: Accessing Customer Profiles

1.1. Select the customers tab at the top of the screen.

Step 2: Adding an Address to a Customer Profile

2.1. Locate the customer profile to which you want to add an address. Click on the customer number that is colored blue. (EX: #C1234)

2.2. In the upper right-hand side of the customer's profile page, you will find an "Actions" button. Click on this button.

2.3. In the dropdown menu that appears, select "Add Location." This option allows you to input the address details for the customer.

Step 3: Entering Location Details

3.1. A new window or form will open for entering the location details. Here, you can input the following information:

Street Address

City

State/Province

ZIP/Postal Code

Country

3.2. You can also specify any additional information relevant to the location, such as a suite or apartment number.

Step 4: Marking as Billing Location

4.1. If the added address is the customer's primary billing location, make sure to mark the box or option provided for "Billing Location." This designation is important for invoicing and other billing-related activities.

Step 5: Saving the Address

5.1. After entering the location details and marking it as the billing location (if necessary), click the "Save" button. This action will add the address to the customer's profile.

Note: Reusing Addresses for Multiple Customers

It's important to note that you can use the same address for more than one customer. This is particularly useful when multiple customers share the same location, such as a business with multiple employees operating from the same office.
